Mental health? Depression.
Please, can anyone tell me why I am so fed up???
I have seen in the papers and on TV the earthquakes, tornadoes and other horrible things that are happening. I should be counting my blessings.
So, here I am, fed up, retired so no stress from work. Not too badly off in the money situation. (No begging letters please as not rolling in money either.)
Family ok at the moment.
Perhaps this feeling will pass. I hope so. I don't think it is real depression, boredom maybe. Nothing to look forward to, getting older too.

222 days.................
Tomorrow I have not smoked for 222 days. That is over 7 months. I stopped on the 30th September 2007.
For someone who tried to stop quite often and had been smoking for well over 44 years, I think I have done well.
In the end, I used Champix. Tried all sorts up to then.
I know I have rabbited on about this before but as I once said, if it helps just one person to stop smoking, I will rabbit. lol
Don't leave it until you are in your 60's like I did. Really worth stopping. Trust me.

My Natural Father........
I wrote this in 2005.
Hello again.
I notice that I have had a few visitors today. I wonder if you too, are searching for a natural parent? I have looked through "Missing Persons" sites and I could cry. People looking for the mother they never knew. Wanting to know about their fathers', so sad.
I actually "found" mine. Ok, he died in the '70's. He was a Canadian, but he died in the USA.
But out there, I have a half brother. I will not name anyone here. I have spoken to my half-brother, sounded a lovely man. Told me a bit about his/my "father". But due to me telling his step-sister that I thought "Father" knew about me, nothing since!
I live in England so it's not as though I could just turn up on their doorsteps is it? This lady (step-daughter of "father") will NOT speak to me now. (Hope you are following this!!!!) Have tried ringing her.
Her e-mail address has changed too. lol I just wonder why????
I miss a man I'll never know,
Died in a place, I'll never go.
All my life I'll feel quite sad,
As I believe, he was my dad.
There are people out there, who knew him well,
His family, with tales to tell,
What kind of man he used to be,
I wonder if he knew of me.
My childhood dad was good and kind,
So why, the need to look behind?
But it's still with me, night and day,
Will it ever go away?
Yesteryear is far away,
I should only live life for today.
So if I'm brave, maybe I'll find,
The memory will fade, from my mind.

Been poorly.
I have not been well. Started off ages ago with a kind of cold. But not a cold. Not 'flu either. My niece said loads of people were getting this thing. I ended up going to see the doc. Chest infection! Well, that upset me. I have not had one of them since 2004. I cut down on the cigs then and I have not had a cig now for a little over 7 months. So how dare I get a chest infection???? Huh. The week after I still felt really not well. Off to doc again, chest was ok, antibiotics had done the job. Just had to wait until things got better.
The week after that, (third week,) went to the docs. UTI that time. AKA water infection. More antibiotics. Not been to the docs this week. I bet they wonder where I am. lol
But by the heck, I feel so washed out and tired. But thankfully I am on the mend.
I don't know how I would be if I got something really serious.
Take care all and good health.
Let the warm weather arrive soon!
Have a good Bank Holiday on Monday and if you have to work, hope it goes well.

Seven months!!! Summer.
Today I haven't had a cig for seven months. It has been hard and it has been easy. Still fancy one now and then but in the same way I quite fancy a strawberry ice cream. I won't drop to pieces if I don't have one.
Not that I would have dropped to pieces even on the days I could have killed for a ciggie. I was helped as I have said before by the support on www.stayquit.co.uk Free to join, no fees, very easy to set up. There are other sites too. Joel has a good one. http://www.whyquit.com
Well, April has nearly gone. Soon be May and another Bank holiday. We have had a couple of warm days. Makes me wish we could have more. It wasn't that great up north yesterday but Man Utd played Chelsea and people were in their shirt sleeves and tee shirts. No, not envious.

TV. Update 28th April.
Right, I have noticed that Frances is missing from the series of Casualty.
At first I thought she was maybe on holiday. After all the poor lass worked nearly every shift going. But since Mr / Dr Harry Harper left, no sign of her. I have never heard her speak, But that girl knew her job. She worked quietly and efficiently.
I liked Frances, but I am worried about her. Anyone else missed someone from a soap???
Maybe it's just me who is so sad eh???
I am still not smoking and it will be 7 months next Sunday. Even I am quite impressed! lol
I am sure I saw Frances on Saturday 26th. Lol I wonder if she is back due to my popular request???

More or less.
Yesterday my niece and I jumped on a bus then a train and went to Silverdale, Lancashire.
Not really far from here. It is years and years since I last went there. All I could remember was the Fairy Steps. We didn't see them though.
It was a nice day and the tide was in.
I quite liked the sound of this place. Lovely name.
Pepperpot. The Cove.
